Who can I call for an issue about my recruit or recruit affairs?

Please contact Training Center Cape May’s battalion officer for recruit issues at 609-898-6715. Please know the recruit’s full name, report date and graduation date if available.
How can I contact my recruit in the event of a family emergency?

Please contact the American Red Cross Emergency Communications Center at (877) 272-7337 (toll-free) to get a message to a recruit about a family emergency or situation.
How can I get my company photo or recruit portrait?

Coast Guard Training Center Cape May does not keep a library of recruit company photos. If you graduated after 2000, you may contact the Training Center’s contract photographer at www.princephoto.com to see if a copy is available for purchase.
Can I have a copy of my recruit company roster?

Coast Guard Training Center Cape May does not keep a record of recruit rosters. You may be able to connect with some of your boot camp shipmates on a variety of blogs, forums or social media sites.
Can I tour Training Center Cape May?
Tour request forms and the submission process can be obtained by clicking on the Visitor Services tab or by contacting the Public Affairs Office.
What's my recruit's graduation date?
You can find your recruit's graduation date by clicking on the Graduation Info tab.

How can I fly a U.S. flag at Training Center Cape May for a Coast Guardsman's retirement?
Please mail the National Ensign with a letter requesting it be flown to the following POC:

In the letter, please include the retiree's full name and rank, years of service and boot camp company if available.

Please include a prepaid return or forwarding shipping label and packaging materials.
Can my recruit send and receive mail?
Yes. You are encouraged to send letters to your loved ones. You cannot, however, send care packages (e.g. food, books, magazines, etc.) as they are not authorized.

*You will typically receive a letter by about the middle of week 2 with information about your recruit's company name and which hall to address your letter to.
How many days will my loved one be home for after graduation?
After completing recruit training, each graduate is permitted up to 05 days of regular leave. This leave will start the Saturday following graduation from boot camp. Service members taking recruit leave must report to their new unit during regular working hours on a regular workday (e.g. Monday - Friday) and not on a holiday.
Any graduate desiring to save leave may do so by proceeding to his or her intended unit immediately following graduation.
Where can I view the live stream of the graduation?
The live stream of the graduations are viewed by going to the training center's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/uscoastguardbootcamp
*It should be noted that the live streams are a courtesy and not a guarantee. There could be technical issues or resource availability issues that would interfere with the stream. The live streams are not intended to be high definition productions of the graduation ceremonies.

Where can I find my loved one's recruit company on Facebook?
The Training Center has its own Facebook page, which covers a variety of topics and items, but is not solely dedicated to following your loved one's specific recruit company. There is a lot of useful information on our Facebook site, however, and you may find that visiting it frequently will be informative. You can reach our Facebook site by going to www.facebook.com/uscoastguardbootcamp
