    Master Chief Petty Officer Christopher Hutto

    Master Chief Petty Officer Christopher Hutto assumed the duties of the Command Senior Enlisted Leader at the Maritime Law Enforcement Academy, Charleston, SC, in 2023. In this role, MCPO Hutto serves as the principal advisor to the unit commander on all matters pertaining to efficient and effective management of the unit’s day to day activities and all issues impacting the unit’s dedicated workforce. Additionally, MCPO Hutto is an organizational advocate and communication medium for the enlisted workforce through the FORECOM senior enlisted leadership network.  


    Master Chief Hutto is a native of Woodruff, S.C., and enlisted in the Coast Guard in 1998. His previous assignments include Engineer Petty Officer, MSST Kings Bay (91108) in St. Marys, Ga; Engineer Petty Officer, USCGC HAMMER in Jacksonville, Fla.; Engineer Petty Officer, USCGC SEA FOX in support of Maritime Force Protection Unit Bangor, Wash.; Engineer Petty Officer, USCGC BOLLARD in New Haven, Conn.; Engineer Petty Officer, Aids to Navigation Team Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; USCGC HICKORY in Homer, Alaska; USCGC ANACAPA in Petersburg, Alaska; USCGC VALIANT in Miami, Fla.; and Industrial Support Detachment Fort Macon, N.C.


    Master Chief Hutto’s personal awards include four Coast Guard Commendation Medals and two Coast Guard Achievement Medals, as well as the permanent Cutterman and Advanced Boat Force Operations insignias. He is also the 2007 recipient of the Coast Guard Enlisted Person of the Year Award.


    Master Chief Hutto is a proud graduate of the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Academy Class 211 and the Coast Guard Senior Enlisted Leadership

    Course Class 70. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in management with a minor in psychology.
    Master Chief Hutto and his wife, Andrea, have three adult children: daughter, Sydney, and sons, Joshua and Ethan
