MLEA CBRN Training Programs 

    Standard Course:

    The Standard CBRN Program exportable training two-day course target audience includes Boarding Team, Boat Crew, Inspection Personnel and any member issued the orange weapons of mass destruction (WMD) kits. 
    It includes information on CBRN threat recognition, operational environments, force protection (PPE), medical countermeasures (MCMs), CBRN detection and identification equipment, and decontamination.  The course also includes information on equipment inventory and assessments to assure the highest level of unit equipment readiness. To satisfactorily complete the course students must receive a minimum score of 80% on a written assessment and satisfactorily complete practical assessments requiring students to don and doff CBRN PPE in accordance with performance test checklists.

     Defense Course Description: 

    The Defense CBRN Program exportable training course provides capabilities to provide interoperability with DOD forces. This includes CG units that may be directed to:
    ·    Deploy overseas in support of Department of Defense (DOD) Overseas Geographic Combatant Commanders         (GCCs)
    ·    Support short-notice homeland security operations along with DOD forces under OPCON/TACON of an Area Commander, and
    ·    Operations by CG MFPU forces in support of the U.S. Navy’s Transit Protection System (TPS) mission.
    The two day course includes information on CBRN threat recognition, operational environments, force protection (PPE), medical countermeasures (MCMs), CBRN detection and identification equipment, and decontamination.  The course also includes instruction on equipment inventory and assessments to assure the highest level of unit equipment readiness.
