Full Mission Bridge Simulator (FMBS)

Senior Bridge Management “C” school trains in advanced cutter navigation, electronic chart systems, and paper chart plotting, as well as target tracking (ARPA and Maneuvering boards). The FMBS simulates typical cutter navigation systems, including Sperry Bridge Master radars,  APS-73 radars (both have AIS), CG ECDIS, and DSC and VHF radios for communications. The FMBS also features virtual alidades and virtual binoculars, which enable precision electronic navigation training, as well as legacy paper chart navigation. Training harbors include over 50 worldwide locations.
