Command Master Chief
Master Chief Andrea Martynowski assumed her duties as the Command Master Chief for Coast Guard Training Center Yorktown on 28 June 2019.
As the senior enlisted advisor, Master Chief Martynowski advises the command on workforce issues, is the senior enlisted mentor, and acts as the sounding board for select administrative actions and initiatives relative to the day-to-day activities of the Training Center, the staff, and the student population.
Prior to assuming her duties as Command Master Chief, she was assigned as the Navigator of USCGC HEALY, Seattle, WA. Master Chief Martynowski has served as Officer In Charge of USCGC RAZORBILL, Gulfport, MS; and USCGC RIDLEY, Montauk, NY. Her other assignments include: Communications Station, Kodiak, AK; USCGC TAHOMA, New Bedford, MA; SAR Controller, Marianas Section Guam; First Lieutenant and Executive Petty Officer, USCGC PETREL, San Diego, CA; Operations Chief, CG Station South Padre Island, TX; Company Commander School Chief and Section Commander, Coast Guard Training Center Cape May, NJ.
Master Chief Martynowski’s awards include four Coast Guard Commendation Medals, two Coast Guard Achievement Medals, four Meritorious Team Commendations, two Arctic Service Medals, Expert Rifle and Expert Pistol Medals and numerous other personal and service medals. She has earned her permanent Cutterman’s, Recruit Company Commander and Coxswain insignias.
