Command Master Chief

CMC Holbrook

 

Master Chief Kyle Holbrook assumed the responsibilities of Command Master Chief for Training Center Yorktown in July 2025. As the senior enlisted leader, he is responsible for advising the command on readiness, resiliency, and advocacy initiatives across the Coast Guard workforce.

Master Chief Holbrook's previous assignments include: U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy in El Paso, TX; Collateral Duty Command Senior Chief and SAROPS International Support Program Manager at C5ISC Portsmouth, VA; Assistant Command Center Supervisor at District 11 in Alameda, CA; Lead Petty Officer and EKMS Manager at Sector Houston-Galveston in Houston, TX; Operations Specialist in Charge aboard CGC STEADFAST in Astoria, OR; Operations Unit Controller at Sector Houston-Galveston in Houston, TX; and Communications Unit Controller at Sector Anchorage in Kodiak, AK.

Master Chief Holbrook holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Jacksonville State University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, and an Associate of Science degree in Computer Science, both from Thomas Edison State University.

Master Chief Holbrook's professional military education includes honors graduate from the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy (Class 75), Senior Enlisted Leadership Course (Class 101), Chief Petty Officers Academy (Class 234), National Search and Rescue School, and Operations Specialist “A” School. Raised in Eagle River, Alaska, Master Chief HolbrookSave enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard in April 2007.

Master Chief Holbrook is married to Sarah Holbrook, of Santa Fe, Texas, and they have two children, Emerson and Everett. His personal awards are commensurate with his service and demonstrated leadership. In addition to personal and unit awards, Master Chief Holbrook was among the first ten Coast Guard members to earn the Permanent Response Operations Ashore Insignia. Master Chief Holbrook has also earned Unit Command Chief (Silver Badge) insignias during tours at District 11 and the C5I Service Center.
