Local Schools

There are many options for schooling in both Sonoma and Marin Counties: Traditional Public Schools, Charter Public Schools (some have independent study options), Private Schools, and Homeschooling. Phone numbers and Web links for some of them are provided here. California has Open Enrollment so please contact the school directly for more information in advance of your arrival.

Children who live on base in Coast Guard housing in grades K-6 attend Two Rock Union Elementary School, which is a public school adjacent to the training center. Older children who live on base attend Petaluma Junior High School and Petaluma Senior High School.
